Ring Size Guide
Finding the right ring size is essential for comfort and style. At Chauhan Jewellers, we want you to have the perfect fit for your rings, whether it’s for a special occasion or everyday wear. Here’s a simple guide to help you determine your ring size.
How to Measure Your Ring Size
There are three main ways to measure your ring size: using a Ring Size Chart, Ring Sizing Tool, or a Ring You Already Own.
1. Ring Size Chart Method
You can use a Ring Size Chart to compare your measurements to standard sizes. Here’s how:
Step 1: Measure the Diameter of an Existing Ring
If you already own a ring that fits well, simply measure the inside diameter of the ring.
Use a ruler or a measuring tape to measure the inside edge of the ring from one side to the other (in millimeters or inches).
Step 2: Find Your Ring Size
Once you have the inner diameter of the ring, use the chart below to find your size.
| Ring Diameter (mm) | Ring Size (US) |
|---|---|
| 14.8 mm | 3 |
| 15.3 mm | 3.5 |
| 15.7 mm | 4 |
| 16.2 mm | 4.5 |
| 16.5 mm | 5 |
| 16.9 mm | 5.5 |
| 17.3 mm | 6 |
| 17.7 mm | 6.5 |
| 18.1 mm | 7 |
| 18.5 mm | 7.5 |
| 18.9 mm | 8 |
| 19.4 mm | 8.5 |
| 19.8 mm | 9 |
| 20.2 mm | 9.5 |
| 20.6 mm | 10 |
2. Using a Ring Size Sizer (Printable or Plastic Sizer)
If you don’t have an existing ring to measure, you can print a Ring Size Sizer (available online) or order a plastic ring sizer from our store.
Step 1: Print a Ring Size Guide
Download a printable Ring Size Guide from our website. Make sure the printout is to scale (check the scale indicator).
Step 2: Place Your Finger on the Chart
Place your finger on the chart so that it fits snugly. The circle that fits your finger is your ring size.
Step 3: Order Your Ring Size
If you order a plastic sizer, it will give you the exact size that corresponds to your finger’s circumference.
3. Using a String or Paper Method
If you don’t have a ring that fits, use a string or paper strip to measure your finger.
Step 1: Wrap a String or Paper Strip Around Your Finger
Take a piece of string, dental floss, or a paper strip, and wrap it around the base of the finger you want to measure. Make sure it’s snug but not too tight.
Step 2: Mark the Length
Mark where the string overlaps or the paper strip meets. Then, use a ruler to measure the length in millimeters.
Step 3: Find Your Ring Size
Use the following table to find the ring size that corresponds to the measured length (circumference).
| Circumference (mm) | Ring Size (US) |
|---|---|
| 44.0 mm | 3 |
| 45.5 mm | 3.5 |
| 46.5 mm | 4 |
| 47.5 mm | 4.5 |
| 48.5 mm | 5 |
| 49.5 mm | 5.5 |
| 50.5 mm | 6 |
| 51.5 mm | 6.5 |
| 52.5 mm | 7 |
| 53.5 mm | 7.5 |
| 54.5 mm | 8 |
| 55.5 mm | 8.5 |
| 56.5 mm | 9 |
| 57.5 mm | 9.5 |
| 58.5 mm | 10 |
Ring Size Tips:
Consider the Knuckle: If your knuckle is much larger than the base of your finger, you may need a slightly larger size to get the ring over the knuckle comfortably.
Measure at the End of the Day: Your fingers tend to swell during the day, so it’s best to measure in the evening when your finger size is slightly larger than in the morning.
Allow for Comfort: Make sure the ring slides on easily over your knuckle but isn’t too loose on your finger. The fit should feel snug but comfortable.
